Reads magnetic stripes. The VersaMag reads and decodes up to three tracks of information with a single swipe in either direction. Keyboard and RS-232 interfaces are available. An adjustable beeper and multi-color LED indicator signal a successful read. Edits and formats data. The VersaMag can be programmed to divide, rearrange, edit, and validate fields of scanned data. In addition, it allows for up to 16 preamble or postamble characters. Windows-based configuration software is included for easy, on-screen programming of "magnetics-only" models with serial interface.
