ID

premium stock includes a clear PVC laminate that adds a brilliant
surface finish. It is formulated for maximum print receptivity, vibrancy and
wearability. ID Services stock is available in three different finishes,
polish/polish, polish/matte and matte/matte. We carry .012, .015, .020,
.024, .030 thicknesses and CR80/CR50 sizes.
Graphics quality cards are in high demand for use with thermal
dye-sublimation printers. ID Services ensures that our customers receive
only the highest quality cards. We can inspect graphics quality cards in two
ways. First, we can individually hand inspect them in our quality control
room. Second, the Louda Kis II Visual Inspection Machine can check the
cards. The choice is yours!
For those applications where the card
needs to last a long time and withstand harsh situations we recommend our
TAC1 and TAC2 cards. They are a blend of polyester and PVC and will extend the
total life of the card substantially.

Holograms |
We've all seen
them on credit cards and drivers licenses. Angle the card one way and to
view the image, angle it another way and the image changes. This security feature
is commonly used to prevent the reproduction of ATM/Bank cards, credit cards,
drivers licenses, and any card that requires counterfeit protection. ID Services
has a variety of holograms to choose from or will apply your own custom
hologram. Various types of holograms are available; from single angle
views to multiple angle views. The more viewing angles in the
hologram the harder it is to counterfeit.
Desktop card printers are unable to print true holograms; however, custom
clear overlays with high quality holograms can be created and applied by
these printers. |
|
UV Inks |
UV Inks are most commonly used to put
hidden graphics and text on a plastic card. The inks are invisible
until the card is subjected to a certain colored light (for instance, when
placing a California drivers license under a black light the image of the
California flag will become visible in green and orange.) UV inks are
used as an aid in detecting counterfeit cards. They come in a variety
of colors and can react to different colored lights.
Desktop card printers are unable to print UV ink. |
|
Micro
Printing |
Micro-printing
is very small text printed into the plastic card and generally look like
thin lines to the naked eye. The text is printed at 9600 dpi (dots per
inch) and require a magnifying glass to view the micro-printed text.
Again, I will use the California drivers license as an example. On the
top of the license are the letters DMV with what appears to be horizontal
lines through it. The top lines are actually the words CALIFORNIA DMV.
You will need a strong magnifying glass to be able to read them.
Desktop card printers print at 300 dpi and can not reproduce micro-printing
making micro-printing a very handy feature when checking for counterfeit
cards. |
|
Other Options |
|
Consecutive Numbering |
| Consecutive numbers with up
to 7 digits can be printed anywhere on any color of card. The numbers are
applied with heat and are offered in two sizes. |
|
Bar
Code Blocks |
| Bar code blocks are applied
to cards as a security feature. They are printed with special silk-screen
non-carbon inks. The bar codes are then applied on top of the blocks to
prevent the bar code from being copied. Blocks are available in black or red
to any size dimension. |
|
Scratch-off Panels |
| Scratch-off panels are
applied through hot stamping or silk screening. Typically they are used to
cover pin numbers on pre-paid phone cards. |
|
Writable Panels |
Both printable and signature panels are offered in white. We recommend
that customers test sample printable cards in their printers before
ordering, as each printer performs differently. A reasonable amount of
sample cards will be provided for testing upon request. Signature panels may
be applied both as a hot stamp and a screen printed process. Signature
panels must be screen printed when the card thickness is less than .020,
when multiple panels are required, or the panel size is other than standard.
Clear panels are available by silk-screen method only.
Hot Stamping: Panels are available in
standard, short, slim, and slim short. Silk-Screen printing offers a wider
variety of sizes than hot-stamping. |
|
Pin Numbers |
| This security feature will
activate usage of the card. Once the numbers have been supplied from our
customers, ID Services can apply them to the customer cards. |
|
Control Numbers |
| Control numbers can measure
card usage and be used as a tracking device if the card is lost. ID Services
will print these on cards after the numbers have been supplied. |
|
Adhesive Backed Cards |
|

a high adhesion material on the back. These cards are designed to run

All adhesive cards have a removable protective backing.

Pre-Paid Phone Cards |
|
Phone
cards are one of the most popular and effective promotional tools for
business. For example, a company advertisement in the paper or on the radio
stating, "Stop in at XYZ Retailer and purchase X amount of calling time and
receive a calling card for 10 minutes of free long-distance calls!"
Phone cards can allow people to make long distance calls from any touch
phone without the need for coins, third party calls or collect calls. The
cards look like credit cards featuring your company logo or artwork on the
front and user instructions on the back. They are easy and fun to use!
Phone cards can also be used to reward employees for a job well done, a gift
for birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays.
At trade shows, phone cards are popular give-aways to generate business at
your booth and by advertising your company name long after the conference
ended.
